Woodpeckers 13.09.21

Date: 10th Sep 2021 @ 7:07pm

Hello, hope you had a nice weekend.

This week as Historians, we will be learning about what was happening globally 150 years ago and in geography we will be exploring vocabulary linked to Suffolk.

Remember your kit if you are swimming on Monday and please wear Forest School clothes for Thursday- old clothes, long bottoms and suitable shoes for the copse.

Homework is due on Friday and is detailed on last week's blog if you want to check.  New homework will be posted here on Friday.

Have a good week!

Homework due in next Friday (24th)

Reading challenge - Read 5 times and more is even better! Remember to record this in your planner.

Number challenge - this is number facts or times tables and  has been written in the planners today.  We will do a number challenge every Friday.

Spellings - new spelling rules are stuck in homework books.  You may have 10 ge words or 5 ge words and 5 'ou' words that make an 'u' sound.

Vocabulary this week is stuck in planners.  Adults, please drop these words into conversations as much as possible: explain, compare, justify.

Bookworm challenge: log into Curriculum Visions and search 'What are insects?'  Scroll down to the end of the search and click on the What are Insects? book.  Look at the book worm challenge and write the answers to the questions in your homework book.  We wrote the log in details in your planner last week.  You will need to google Curriculum Visions then log in.

If homework is not completed, children will use their lunch time to do this as it links to class learning and is important for children to revisit and retrieve their knowledge.

Have a good weekend and remember to check next week's blog.
