Wolves learning week beginning 11.1.21

Date: 10th Jan 2021 @ 11:54am

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I have added the plan for the week and the resources for Monday and will add resources each day.

I have added a sound mat to help with phonics and wriitng - Reception children are now starting Phase 3 phonemes and Year 1 are working through Phase 5.

I have added a 0-20 numberline which is good for counting and writing numbers if they are not sure what a 7 looks like, they can count along and find it.

Also I have uploaded a 1-100 numberline to print out and stick the strips together or a 100 square to hep Year 1 and 2.

There is a letter from Monster Phonics about some free webinars they are running if you want some more information on how to teach your child phonics.

I am doing separate videos for Reception for their learning each day and then a video for Year 1&2 to try and help parents and children listen to their relevant instructions. Please let me know if your child needs more of a challenge or is struggling with the work as I can help.

Reception have their own weekly timetable plan this week (see below) and a booklet to download for Literacy called Rainy Day Rabbit.  I will add the Maths activity each day and there is a challenge on the weekly timetable for the children who need it and are able to write addition number sentences. Some of you might want to have a go at the Geography lesson that Year 1&2 are doing which is labelling a map of the UK, if you need a challenge.

Year 1 and 2 have their own joint weekly plan this week (see below) and there will be a maths worksheet added to this blog each day for each year group that links to the video on the timetable.  Mon and Fri there is a sheet uploaded that you will need for Literacy and Year 2 have a phonics/spelling sheet each day except Friday when they will be going on Spelling Shed games.  On Thursday I will upload the map for Geography.

Please do ask if you need anything more to support you at home.  I am always happy to phone or email to offer more support.  Most importantly, we need to make sure our children are happy and doing some learning, so feel free to adapt the suggested activities to suit your child and do what you can, alongside juggling work commitments and other children.

Take care and stay safe.
