Thursday 26th March - Woodpeckers

Date: 26th Mar 2020 @ 10:35am

Good morning Woodpeckers smiley

How are you all? I am missing you and it feels very strange not being with you today.

We have completed our third morning of Joe Wicks as a family, have you been joining in?

Hope you have been getting on well with your learning packs.

Today I would like you to try and complete:

  • 15 minutes of arithmetic and TTR
  • 30 minutes of reading comprehension and enjoy reading a book by yourself or as family
  • 20 minute Spelling Shed
  • Complete a literacy and numeracy activity
  • In the afternoon complete one of your topic activities, I have enjoyed looking at photos and videos of your artwork and music you have created.

SPAG Challenge

Adjective Alphabet Races

With a family member, in two minutes who can think of the most adjectives:

A is for angry, B is for beautiful, C is for Crazy

As a challenge, try a counting list using alliteration:

One is a white whale, Two is a tiny turtle, Three is a threatening thistle

Maths Problem of the Day

I have attached a maths problem of the day; the second page is a challenge.

You could post your response to me in the blog.

Throughout the day, make sure you get plenty of physical activity and fresh air, try to go outside and enjoy the spring weather.

If you would like to try something different, Oti Mabuse (from Strictly Come Dancing and The Greatest Dancer) has posted videos on YouTube so you can learn a dance. Make sure you have your parents’ permission to watch the videos.

Stay safe and have a lovely day.
