I set homework over the weekend for children to make a jam sandwich by following the visual instructions stuck in homework books.  It is really important that you complete this with your child as it will support  learning in class and help them with writing their own instructions this week. When they write their own instructions, they will not be given any help so this is why it's importamnt to revisit this as homework.  Please look at Friday of last week's blog to check what you need to do and do this tonight if you haven't.  If your child does not like jam, then please substitute for another spead such as marmite or chees spread etc. Thank you.

Thursday 17th December 2020-Friday 18th December 2020

I have provided a copy of card games that you may like to play over Christmas with your children.  They have been created for KS1 and revisit mental maths skills, so your child will be learning while having fun!

The first week back after Christmas, I will be assessing the children on the common exception words which are stuck in their home books so please spend some time working on these at home over the holiday.

Lastly, have a lovely Christmas break and enjoy the magic of Christmas and having little children......it goes so quickly!

Merry Christmas and best wishes - Heidi Cross
