Good morning Kittens!

Welcome back to school. I hope you had a lovely half-term and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. 

Our learning behaviour this week is enjoy your learning. 

Don't forget to do some fact finding about owls to help you write your information page later on in the week. 

In Maths, we will be exploring simple fractions - whole and half. 

In Science, we will be starting to look at trees and plants. We will be naming a variety of common trees and plants and their parts. 

In PSHE, we will be looking at the parts of the body, including the 'doctor names' for the male and female parts.

It is our class assembly on Friday during our sharing assembly so I hope your grown-ups can join us! 

Year 1

Please continue to read at least 5 times a week. 

This week's spellings are the days of the week. 

Your Maths homework continues your learning on division by grouping / equal sharing. 

Reception   

Please continue to read at least 5 times a week. 

You might like to play this reading game to help you to see and read the words that include the digraphs and trigraphs we have been learning. 

Please continue to learn your tricky words. Ask your grown-ups to look at the link to find some fun ways to help you learn them. I will be giving you some new tricky words for you to learn this week. 

You will find new spellings in your quiz book. Learn them over the week ready for your spelling quiz on Friday.
