Kittens 4.12.20

Date: 5th Dec 2020 @ 9:10pm

Good morning Kittens,

Welcome to Monday and the second week of advent.

This week our learning behaviour is 'enjoy your learning - try new things'.

Home learning:

Yr 1 -

Please learn this week's spellings.

Please continue to learn your 'spot words' and the new sheet of 'tricky words' I gave you on Friday.

I know sometimes, some of you muddle b and d when you are reading and writing. Ask your grown-up to have a look at this link to give you some games to play to help you remember.

We will continue to look at new ways of making the previous sounds we have learnt like ai - ay. I will add new phonic flashcards at the end of the week to help you learn these at home. Remember to go over last week's sounds using your flashcards. You can play some free online phonic games using this link. Click here

I have added another daily handwriting sheet. These are the cursive letters we have been learning in school. Please complete each letter on the set day:

Monday - k

Tuesday - c

Wednesday - o

Thursday - a

Friday - e

In Maths, we are continuing to learn our number bonds. This week is 6. Click this link to help you remember them.

Reception

Take a look at your learning from last week and talk to your grown-ups about the things you can remember.

I have added a new family of letters for you to have a go at writing. They are letters that belong to the family of letters we call 'curly caterpillars'. Have a go at writing one each night.

Remember to keep looking at your  'spot words' and 'tricky words'. I know you are finding your tricky words harder to remember, so have a listen to this song to help you. It is really catchy. Click here. Please click here. Here is a link for your grown-ups to give them some ideas to help you too. Grown-ups please click here.
