Date: 17th Sep 2021 @ 3:56pm

Good morning Kittens!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready for another week of growing your brains!

This week our learning behaviour is - work hard. Can you work hard this week to grow your brain?  Can you....

work hard to help you be successful.

have fun whilst you work hard.

keep practising even when you are good at something.

practise things you are not good at yet.

help your friends to work hard too.

give your best at everything you do.

Don't forget it is PE on a Monday and Thursday. As Miss Cross is doing Forest Schools with you on a Monday too, you might want to wear some joggers to make sure your legs are well covered when you go exploring.

Year 1:

Your homework this week is:

Reading: Well done for starting off the reading challenge! Continue your reading this week. Can you read at least 5 times?

This week you will also find your Book Bingo Challenge inside your folders. Take a look and enjoy a world of exciting books!

Spellings: Please log on to Spelling Shed to revise the next set of tricky words.

Maths: Use your clock to tell the time to the hour - o'clock or really work hard and try half-past the hour too!

Topic: This week we have been exploring the weather and the seasons. Can you recall any of your learning?

Reception:

This week you will find your Book Bingo Challenge inside your folders. Take a look and enjoy a world of exciting books with your family. Which one will you explore together?

This week, we are starting to learn our letters and sounds to help us with our reading and writing. On Friday, you will bring home a sound book and some flashcards to help you learn our first set of sounds.

You will find this link useful as you support your child at home. This tab is located on the Squirrel's page on our school website.

Let's have a great week.

Mr Ross :-)
