Kittens 19.7.21

Date: 17th Jul 2021 @ 9:03pm

Good morning Kittens,

Welcome to your last two days of school before the Summer holidays.

You all have so much to be proud of this year. Mrs Witherall and I are very proud of you, as are your grown-ups at home.

Let's really enjoy our last two days together.

You did a fantastic musical performance at the end of last week. Miss Cross recorded it and you and your family can watch it on the discission page on your personal website login. What talent we have at Copdock!

There are no spellings to learn this week but:

Year 1, keep practicing your Year 1 common exception words. A list can be found at the bottom of this page.

Reception, keep practicing reading and spelling your tricky words. A list of these can be found at the bottom of this page. More fun ways to learn them can be found here.

You have your reading books until Tuesday. Please return them on Tuesday so that I can take them out for the holidays. Don't forget, you can take part in the reading challenge at your local library. Your grown-up can find out more here.

Next year, we will continue to use our new online reading resource called Curriculum Visions (click link). This is a site that includes lots of online information texts about a range of subjects. You also have access to this at home too! Use the login details below.

You can find online decodable books here and here.

Year 1, here is a link of sites to help you continue to practice your learning over the holidays. At the bottom of this page, there is a getting ready for Year 2 guide for your grown-ups to have a look at.

Reception, at the bottom of this page there is a sheet with links to websites to help you to continue to pracice your learning over the holidays. There is also a guide to help you get ready for Year 1.

I have also added some guides for your grown-ups to read about how to support you moving into Year 1.

On Tuesday, you may come to school in non-school uniform and we will have our reward for filling our friendship jar with friendship tokens. We will have a movie and popcorn session. Please ask your grown-ups to email me if you can not have popcorn.

Have a great Summer holiday when it arrives. Let's hope we have lots of sun to enjoy! Stay safe and see you all in September!

Best wishes,

Mr Ross and Mrs Witherall :-)
