Kittens 13/9/21

Date: 12th Sep 2021 @ 7:05pm

Bonjour Kittens!

Welcome to a week of new learning. I hope you had a lovely weekend.

This week's learning behaviour is - tune in and concentrate.  Do you remember Mr Ross' 5 listening’s? These will really help you to tune in to what others are saying. They are, legs crossed, hands in lap, lips closed, eyes looking, listening ears ready. I wonder who will earn this week's learning behaviour certificates?

Don't forget we have PE on a Monday and Thursday, so please come into school in your PE kit on these days.

Please ask your grown-ups to look at the home school agreement and sign it. The link can be found below.

Thank you

Year 1:

You have your first set of Year 1 homework this week. You have a homework book in your reading folder. This includes, your spellings, Maths activity and two reading books.

Please read at least 5 times a week to take part in our reading challenge. Ask your grown-ups to sign and date your reading record book every time you read at home. Mrs Witherall will add up the numbers on a Friday.

Spellings: This week you are revising your tricky words from last year. We will have our spelling quiz on a Friday.

Maths: Please complete your 2D shape activity sheet.

Topic: This just gives your grown-ups a flavour of what we have been looking at in class and might help you to have a conversation around our themes.

You can find your curriculum map for this half-term below.

Reception:

What a fantastic first full week you had last week. I hope you found your certificate and your gift in your reading folder. A book to share and keep at home with your families. It's so much fun sharing stories together. Enjoy!

We are continuing to get to know each other this week and I will be continuing to play games and activities with you to found out what you can do and how I can help you in the future.

You can find your curriculum map below. This shows your grown-ups some of the things we will be learning about this half-term.

Let's have a great week of learning!

Best wishes,

Mr Ross :-)
