Kittens 12.10.20

Date: 10th Oct 2020 @ 1:53pm

Hello Kittens,

welcome to a new week of learning! This week our learning behaviour is 'improve'. We can all improve our skills and knowledge, even grown-ups! So, let us have a great week of growing our brains!

Home learning:

Yr 1 - Please continue to log on to Spelling Shed to help you to learn this week's spellings. Our 'reading challenge' continues so to get your weekly stars, read at least 5 times this week and ask a grown-up to sign your yellow book.

Don't forget to go over your word wall words (spot words) before you read your books. Can you spot any of these in the books you are reading? Don't forget to just say them, rather than blend. This will help with your fluency.

I will be making new phonic booklets for the next couple of weeks to help you revise your Phase 3 phonic skills. I have added this week's booklet in your reading folder. Please complete the following pages this week...

Monday - Phase 3 Picture and Captions Matching Worksheet

Tuesday - Phase 3 Real and Nonesence Words - ar

Wednesday - Phase 3, I can read

Thursday - I spy and Read

Friday - Phase 3 Real and Nonesence Words - ur

Reception

Please go over your flashcards daily with a grown up. Click here to the link to our Jolly Phonic songs.

Take a look at your learning from last week and talk to your grown-ups about the things you can remember.

Don't forget, I have added a Maths challenge for you to complete at home this week. I would love to see your home learning on Tapestry.  So, ask a grown-up to add a phtoto.

Have a great week!
