Kittens 02.11.20

Date: 2nd Nov 2020 @ 12:58pm

Hello Kittens,

Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a lovely half term. This week our learning behaviour is 'tune in and concentrate'.

Home learning:

Yr 1 - Please continue to log on to Spelling Shed to help you to learn this week's spellings. Our 'reading challenge' continues so to get your weekly stars, read at least 5 times this week and ask a grown-up to sign your yellow book.

Don't forget to go over your word wall words (spot words) before you read your books. Can you spot any of these in the books you are reading? Don't forget to just say them, rather than blend. This will help with your fluency.

I have made another Phase 3 phonic booklet for you to complete at home this week. There is more of a focus on spelling words that include our digraphs and trigraphs. Please complete the following pages this week...

Monday -  ur

Tuesday - or

Wednesday - oo

Thursday - oi

Friday -  er

Year 1 Spellings: 6/11/20 -  I am on a course today away from school and will be unable to do your spelling quiz. Continue to learn your spellings over the weekend and I will do your quiz on Monday and issue new spellings then. Thank you.
