Kitten Class Reception Pupils - Monday 4th May

Date: 2nd May 2020 @ 3:31pm

Good morning Kittens!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready for another week of home learning. Welcome to Monday.

This week your theme is ‘celebrations’. On Friday across the country we will be marking the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Below you will find a PowerPoint presentation explaining a little bit about what this is. Sadly, because of us staying indoors at the moment people won’t be able to celebrate this occasion in the same way.

However, one way to show your appreciation is to make your own bunting and display it in your window for all to see. I saw this idea on the local news the other day and thought what a lovely idea to share with you. I have added a bunting template below for you to print out if you wish. Maybe you could also wear red, white and blue on Friday too!

In Maths, you will be exploring some number work.

In English, you will be thinking about and writing about your own celebrations.

Again, there are other creative activities for you to do and enjoy. So have fun!

So many of you having been adding your learning to Tapestry. It’s been lovely to see how hard you are working. Well done! Keep it up and thank you to grown ups for doing this. Mrs Witherall and I really do enjoy seeing what you have been up to. She comments and informs me when new learning has been added.

I know you are trying your hardest, as are your grown ups. It really is an unusal time and everyone is really doing their best and that's all anyone can ask. So please don't worry if you can't get everything done you want to in a day. You can always go back to things at any time. Just keep smiling!

I hope you enjoyed the story I read to you. If you have not seen this yet, log on to your school website account and scroll to the bottom. Inside this tab, you will find my story and others read by staff. Enjoy!

Have a great Monday!

Best wishes

Mr Ross 😊
