Hedgehogs 6.9.21

Date: 5th Sep 2021 @ 9:10am

Welcome back to a full week of learning.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

This week our learning behaviour is 'Try New Things'.

We will be focusing on place value and addition and subtraction over the course of the half term.

In literacy, we are focusing on writing a poem about autumn.

Our new topic is about Suffolk. This week, we will be comparing maps of what Bentley was like 150 years ago to now.

Today, the children would have been tested on all of the Year 3 & 4 Statutory words. They will be bringing home a strip of the Year 3 & 4 Statutory words we would like them to learn this half term and we will test again in October.
Weekly spellings will commence Monday 13th September and this is when they will receive their new spellings for that week. The children will receive a paper copy and will be expected to be practising them each day on spelling shed.

Spelling test and multiplication test will be tested every Monday.

PE is every Friday and swimming commences Monday 13th September so the children will need their swim kit that day.

Reading Challenge - we check log books every Friday and your child gets a sticker if there are 5 reads written in their logbook with your signature.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
Have a lovely week,

Mrs North ?
