Date: 16th Sep 2021 @ 8:32pm

Good morning Hedgehog families,

I hope you had a lovely weekend and refreshed for another week.

Our learning behaviour of the week is, 'Work Hard'.

Vocabulary words this week are: 'topography' and 'scale' linked to our Geography learning.

Home School Agreement

Monday is the deadline for the home school agreements to be signed. Thank you to the families who have signed this already. If you haven't please click on https://forms.office.com/r/Yhv8sMxig4 to complete the simple form.

Maths Bags

If you would like to borrow a maths bag this year, then please let me know via email or when I am on the playground at the end of the day and we will arrange one for your child.

Curriculum Map

I have attached again this week our curriculum map. This half term we are conducting a local study of Suffolk using our history and geography skills. If you feel you are able to offer any information or can enrich our topic further please let me know.

Reminders

Monday:

Spelling test and new spellings given out - please make sure your child is practising their spellings everyday and on Spelling Shed.

Times tables test - your child now has their login details for TTR at the front of their logbooks so they can practise at least twice a week.

Reading comprehension homework linked to recycling week, due in: Monday 27th September. Please refer to your child's homework book for further information.

Also I would like the children to google Curriculum Visions; login using the details in your child's logbook. Click on geography tab, then Roadtrip Places, scroll down the UK map and click on Norwich. Click on the Great British Seaside SE England and flick to page 114.  Read from here to page 130.  This is an important part of your child's learning about our Suffolk study and will support them in class.

Swimming kit needed.

Friday:

PE kit on.

5 reads due in so please sign your child's logbook otherwise they will not receive their sticker.

MaMillan Coffee Afternoon

Hedgehogs and Adders families are welcome to join us for a drink and cake at 2.45pm. Each class will be performing. Entry will be £1.50 for adults and 50p for children. Please let the office know if you will be attending.
You can also send in 50p for Macmillan cake for your child on Friday, if you would like to.

Have a lovely week.
