Foxes PGL

Date: 3rd Jul 2021 @ 7:41am

Dear Foxes and Parents

These are some final thoughts that came form our discussions in class at the end of Friday.

Please watch the forecast and pack appropriate clothing. We will be the doing the activitites regardless of the weather. 2 pairs of trainers, a raincoat and a couple of additional pairs of trousers would be sensible in case of rain. Please pack your own bags so you know what is in there, you will have to pack for yourself when we come back!! This is part of you becoming more independent and responsible, but ensure you only pack what you need.

Remember t shirts which cover your shoulders and shorts which are longer in the leg are needed when harnesses are being worn and will also protect against the sun. Please refer to the packing list for everything else.

You do not need to bring toys and games other than a teddy and something to do on the bus. You will not have any time in your rooms except for sleeping, changing etc. These trips are designed to build relationships and therefore any individual games will not support this. A book to read at night is fine, a notebook and pencil for on the bus is a good idea but you do not need anything else.

As discussed no mobile phones or eletronics are allowed. This will be checked on Monday morning.

You need a named water bottle as this will be your only access to drinks when we are taking part in activities. There are places to refill these but only with your own bottle. A small drawstring bag might be a good idea to carry this and any jumpers etc that you might want to take. This should be named too in case it gets left at an activity.

No sweets or snacks should be brought, there is more than enough food to keep hunger away. Medications should be named with full details on when they should be administered and given to me in class. Money in a named wallet will be given to Mr Hurst.

Come into school Monday morning at the normal time. I will meet you on the gate. Wear your clothes for the day. Packed lunch should be in a disposable bag. You do not need any school bags.

I know we are all very excited and I want to make sure you all have a great time. However, please think carefully about your behaviour and attitude towards others. Mrs Robinson, Mr Hurst and myself are giving up a week with our families to accompany this trip and are on duty 24 hours a day when we are there. We also want to have a good time and share these memories with you. So please be respectful, follow what you are being asked to do and I am sure it will be amazing.

If you have any questions please post them on here as I am having the weekend with my children before we go. I will check on here throughout the weekend in case you have anything you need.

Mrs Windmill
