Foxes Learning week beginning 20th April

Date: 20th Apr 2020 @ 8:57am

Good Morning Foxes,

I hope you and your families are all well and managed to enjoy your Easter holidays.

I have been working over the holidays to put together some learning packs of what you should have been learning had you been in school again now. Hopefully these will be arriving with you today.

I have included a weekly timetable for each week which shows the maths, grammar, reading and writing activities. I have also tried to include some hint sheets which may help you particularly in maths. I will upload your weekly spellings onto Spelling Shed, so it is essential you go on there too to pratise.

This week's topic theme for the whole school is Florence Nightingale following the opening of the new Nightingale hospital in London. I have included some activities for you to complete in the afternoon. Apologies if you didn't get any A3 paper to use, please join 2 piece of A4 if you want to use that for your fact files. Please remember not to copy directly from the internet, this should be completed in your own words.

There is a weekly discussion thread set up for you to share your learning and things you have been doing that are relevant to learning. The Foxes keeping in touch discussion is still available for you to chat to each other.

Every day I will start a new blog and include the answers to the previous days learning so please check in every day. Remember to work with your adults, they are there to try and support you, but may not necessarily have all the answers. I am on email which I will check regularly if you or your parents have any questions.

This weeks learning theme is enjoy your learning so I look forward to hearing some great things that you have been doing.

I will start phoning around again today so if you receive an 'unknown caller' call it may well be me.

Enjoy your day, look after each other, be kind and I will speak to you soon.
