Foxes 7.2.22

Date: 5th Feb 2022 @ 12:05pm

Hello Foxes

Welcome to the start of another new week.

This week is Children's mental health week and also Safer Internet day.

This years theme for Children's Mental Health week is, 'Growing Together'. We will be encouraging children (and adults) to consider how they have grown, and how they can help others to grow. I have attached our timetable of activities that we will follow throughout the week. Anything linked to mental health week is highlighted in pink.

On Wednesday afternoon we will be learning about Safer Internet Day. It is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively. The children will be learning about the four areas of risk: content, contact, conduct and commerce and will be finding out how to keep safe.

You all need PE kits on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday the basketball team will be going to Inspire in Iposwich for a long awaited tournament. If you are in the team you will new a clean kit please, packed lunch and water. Some will be travelling with Bentley in the school mini-bus, others will be in my car. If you are staying in school you will completing a pop art collage, which I am sure will look fantastic.

Our learning behaviour is push yourself and don't give up, so this week will be the perfect chance to show that.

Our homework and spelling test will be on Wednesday when we are all in school so you have an extra day to practise those tricky words. Please remember the classes are all looking to have the most children achieving their reading certificates. Please do keep up your 5 reads and have your diaries signed and if you haven't read much please start. As you will have noticed the reading tests at this age are very challenging so the more you read the more you will achieve.

Sorry for the long blog

Enjoy the rest of your weekends
