Foxes 2/4/20 Last day of term

Date: 2nd Apr 2020 @ 8:15am

Good Morning Foxes, hope you are all well.

So today is the last day of term. Very strange not to be in school to wish you a happy break!! I was expectinh to be telling year 6 to work really hard after the holiday ready for SATs when you came back so it's really surreal to be telling you to enjoy the break.

I will not be setting any work for you to do over the next 2 weeks but obviously you can do anything that's not been done or use the sites on the school website.

I have sent some reading assessments to some of the year 5 parents that have asked for them. If anyone else feels they want to have a go please let me know and I will email them to you.

I have included some maths reasoning tests on here for you toi have a go at too.

At some point I would like you to write a summary about the book I gave you to read (Bailey and Harrison this can be any book you have read). You could give an overview of the story, a detailed character description of one of the main chaarcters, a book review, how you may have felt to be in that story or even draw it out as a story board.

I wanted to set some questions for you but I know you are all at different places so that may be hard to do now.

Keep going with the books and whatever you decided to do for your topic learning.

Thank you for sharing the April Fools stories and pranks that you played, very amusing!!

I am working over the holidays to prepare your next packs. The maths will be area and perimeter so maybe you could remind yourselves what you know about those.

I will be checking in on emails daily if you have anything urgent that I can help with.

But for now have a great Easter break, remember some of your adults might still be working so be supportive and fair when they need time and space. This is a difficult time for everyone!!

I really hope to see you all soon, stay safe and keep smiling smiley
